The production-process Schoonhoven uses to manufacture this pottery, dates from the 17th century and originates in Delft. They use a carefully blended mixture of white-firing clay which is either cast into moulds or thrown on the wheel, depending on the shape. After the first firing the piece of pottery is decorated, subsequently covered with a thin layer of glaze and fired for the second time. During the second firing the product takes on its full shine and bright colors. Every piece is labeled with their mark. Het produktieproces van Schoonhoven dateert uit de 17e eeuw en is van Delftse oorsprong. Men gebruikt een zorgvuldig samengesteld, witbakkend kleimengsel dat, naar gelang de vorm, wordt gegoten of gedraaid. Nadat het éénmaal gebakken en gedecoreerd is, wordt het produkt voorzien van een dunne glazuurlaag en nogmaals gebakken. Tijdens dit tweede bakproces krijgt het produkt zijn volle glans en heldere kleuren. Elk produkt is voorzien van hun logo.
