This dried mix helps you make and bake a pound cake in no time! All you need to add is 7oz/200 grams of soft butter or margarine and an egg. Some of the ingredients of the mix are wheat flour, sugar, dextrose and salt.

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 375F/190C.
  • Empty the mix into a large bowl and add ¾ of the loosely beaten egg and all the butter.
  • Use an electric mixer to create a smooth dough.
  • Pour the dough into a round pan with a 9”/22 cm diameter and press it down with your hands or with a spoon.
  • Brush the top with the rest of the egg and use a fork to carve diamond shapes into the top.

Variation:

Add 3.5 oz/100 grams of ground coconut or 3.5 oz/100 grams steeped raisins and 3 tbsp. of rum.
